Changes are happening with the single stream recycling bin in Teutopolis beginning Friday, May 3.

Due to changes in the recycling market that limits the number on the plastic containers being accepted, increases in recycling costs, and expenses exceeding donations, the Teutopolis Recycling Program will no longer accept any plastics for recycling at their site. The ban is effective Friday, May 3.

The site will continue to collect cardboard, plastic Wal Mart-type bags, aluminum cans, newspaper and copy paper in, and adjacent to, the Paper Depot building.
