(MIRIAH LUDTKE)

Tonight's the night that Miriah Ludtke has been working toward for years.

The Effingham High School graduate will be competing tonight in the Miss USA Pageant. The competition will be aired on FOX-TV at 7pm from Reno, Nevada.

Miriah, the daughter of Heather Mumma of Effingham and Joe Ludtke of Springfield, is eligible for the competition since she was crowned Miss Missouri USA last fall. Miriah was sponsored by the City of St. Louis. She had finished first runner-up in 2017 before winning the Missouri crown in September.

The winner of tonight's competition goes on to even bigger and better things; a berth in the Miss Universe Pageant.
