When residents of Effingham Terrace were questioned recently about what they'd like to do for an activity, they talked about dances.  The discussion turned to things like proms, and most of the residents said they'd never been to a prom.

That got the wheels turning, and Effingham Terrace plans to hold a prom-like event on Friday evening, February 8.  The group home plans to open the event to any developmentally-disabled adults in the area.

Effingham Terrace Residential Services Director Jody Workman Monday said the event will be held from 6-8pm and will feature a photographer and finger foods donated by local businesses.

If you're a developmentally-disabled adult or if you know one and would like to make a reservation, phone Effingham Terrace at 342-9313 and let them know that you'd like to attend.
