Much of the business handled by the Neoga school board this month dealt with personnel matters.

Superintendent Ben Johnson recommended no Reduction in Force this Spring. Those to be RIFd need to be notified no less than 90 days prior to the end of the school year.

The Board accepted the retirement notices of Linda Baker and Kirby Davis, both of whom will retire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. Brian Fritts was approved as a non-paid volunteer musical technical assistant.

Several resignations were accepted; John Brown as high school fresh-soph fall and spring baseball coach, Kay Endsley as high school Student Council sponsor, Amy Clark as part-time speech language pathologist, Jennifer Bridges as high school Social Studies teacher, and Erica DePoister as high school volleyball coach. The Board approved an increase in the bus driver "wait time" hourly rate.

Neoga board members also approved a series of policy revisions for first reading, amended the school year calendar to reflect January 30 as an emergency day with April 18 becoming a day of student attendance, approved the high school Business and Technology Concepts course proposal, appointed Shawn Finney as the Neoga board's representative to the Cumberland County Development Corporation, and heard from Johnson that the monthly cash flow was good, except for the Transportation Fund, although the district did receive its first transportation payment at the end of January.
