A crash resulting in injury occurred late Wednesday night in Jasper County.

State police report a semi was parked in the roadway on a foggy night in a rural area near Willow Hill at 11:30pm. The location was 1900th Street, just south of 800th Avenue.

Police say the driver, 56-year-old Driss Boutahri of Cincinnati, Ohio, was out of the southbound vehicle on foot in the gravel shoulder off the east side of the roadway. A car driven by 60-year-old Margaret Pritchard of Willow Hill was traveling northbound and swerved to avoid striking Boutahri. When Pritchard swerved, her car struck the trailer of Boutahri's rig. Pritchard's car ended up in the ditch.

Pritchard was injured and was taken to Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. Boutahri was cited for improper parking on the roadway.
