The Effingham Police Department has announced the completion of a new city police facility. The new police station is located at 110 South 3rd Street, immediately south of City Hall in downtown Effingham.

Before the new facility is secured and occupied, the police department would like to share the building with businesses, citizens and the community on the following dates:

THURSDAY, JANUARY 17--4:30 TO 7:30PM--Guided tours for all business community members

SATURDAY, JANUARY 19--11:00AM to 3PM--Guided tours for all community members

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14--11:00AM--Grand Opening ceremony with ribbon-cutting

The main lobby entrance is located on the west side of the building, with parking available in the City Hall parking lot or the City Public Parking lot at the corner of Fayette Avenue and 3rd Street. No public parking will be allowed on the south side of the police station.

Business and community members wishing to tour the facility on the dates mentioned above may enter the main lobby entrance, where staff members will provide guided tours of the entire facility. The Grand Opening ceremony with ribbon-cutting and photos will take place outside the main lobby entrance on February 14, and the public is invited to attend the event.
