Three Additional City Commissioner Candidates File for Council

The last day of filing for Effingham City Council resulted in three more candidates for Commissioner.

The last-minute filings included two former Council members. 

Henry J. "Hank" Stephens served on the Council as a commissioner from 1979 to 1983 before beginning a long run as Effingham City Attorney. Larry Micenheimer served a term as a commissioner from 2007 to 2011. The retired Effingham High School teacher and coach then ran unsuccessfully for mayor. 

Also filing for one of the four commissioner spots was Libby Moeller, currently a member of the Effingham City Plan Commission.
