Wright's Furniture and Flooring Expands to Robinson

Wright’s Furniture & Flooring, a locally-owned business specializing in quality home furnishings, is expanding its business to Robinson this week. The new store, located in the former Weems Furniture building located on 1317 E. Main Street, opened on Monday.

Wright’s Furniture & Flooring President Tom Wright said an opportunity presented itself to expand their business in Robinson and they jumped at it.

“We are thrilled to have a location in a great community like Robinson,” said Wright. “We would also like to thank the former Weems Furniture Store owners, Logan Weems and D.R. Smith, for helping us make a smooth transition into this community. We feel like the selection of products we carry will be a very good fit for this area.”

Wright said customers will also notice several familiar faces at the new store.

“We’re pleased that much of the former Weems sales staff, including the store manager, Logan Weems, will continue working at the new store. As a fellow locally owned family business, we understand the importance of maintaining those community connections that have been built over the years. We’re happy to be able to offer those employees a place at our new Wright’s Furniture & Flooring location.”

Wright said their new Robinson location will be smaller than their flagship location in Dieterich and will carry customer favorites. Customers will also have access to the full selection of items sold at Wright’s Furniture & Flooring’s main location and their interior design store, Wright at Home. Wright said they also plan on holding a grand opening event at the new location soon, but haven’t determined an exact date yet. Store hours at the new Robinson location are 9:00 – 5:00 Monday through Friday, 9:00 -3:00 on Saturday and closed on Sunday.

Wright’s Furniture & Flooring is a fourth generation family-owned business that is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year. Wright’s Furniture & Flooring features a large selection of quality living room, bedroom, dining room, home office, entertainment and custom furniture as well as a wide selection of flooring. The business also offers interior design services and window treatments through its Wright at Home store located in Effingham.
