The Effingham Unit 40 Board of Education Monday voted on three student discipline cases, as well as some personnel matters.

The Board upheld the suspension of two students. The students were allowed to return to Effingham High School under principal's probation through the end of the current school year.

Another student was expelled through the end of the 2019-2020 school year, but was referred to an alternative education program.

In personnel moves, the Unit 40 board accepted a resignation from Amanda White as a junior high school Art teacher as of the end of December; a resignation from Jordan Adams as junior high Student Council sponsor as of the end of the current school year, and a resignation from Jill Lobb as a cafeteria monitor at Central Grade School as of the end of December.
