Pork Power Visits Catholic Charities

Pork Power paid a visit to the Effingham Catholic Charities headquarters Monday, delivering 500 pounds of ground pork for clients of the people-helping agency.

The contribution was part of the 10th anniversary of Pork Power: Partnering to Fight Hunger in Illinois. The Illinois Pork Producers Association, along with Farmweld of Teutopolis, which produces equipment that aids in the hog-raising process, presented the pork to Catholic Charities. 

Participating in the ceremony were, left to right: Jason Propst of the Illinois Pork Producers Association, Sister Sandra Sudkamp who is Pantry Coordinator for Catholic Charities, and Aaron Niebrugge of Farmweld. More information about Farmweld can be found here on their website.
