Teutopolis Village Board Pays Infrastructure Bills; Renews Alliance Membership

Teutopolis Village Board members Wednesday took action on several bills related to infrastructure work in the village.

The Board paid Wayne Lapington Excavating $84,676.88 for work on Prairie View Subdivision, the new residential subdivision in the southeast part of the village. They also approved a $33,425 payment to Connor and Connor Engineers for design work on infrastructure in Prairie View, and another $13,962.32 bill for engineering inspection work on the project.

Daischell Construction was paid $40,459.90 for water and sewer work in Prairie View, and paid an $11,679.18 bill for engineering work on the new street next to Farmweld on Teutopolis' east end.

Teutopolis board members also hired H&M Concrete of Effingham for make repairs to Harvester Street for $6,738; heard that the Village issued five building permits this past month; passed an ordinance allowing a stop sign at Route 40 on the new Farmweld roadway; accepted the audit of the past fiscal year and decided to seek bids on the audit work for the coming year; and agreed to join the Effingham County Regional Growth Alliance for another year for $5,000.
