Three vehicles were involved in a crash in Jasper County Wednesday night.

State police say the crash occurred at 6:22pm on Illinois Route 33, west of 200th Street. The preliminary investigation indicates a car driven by 29-year-old Ivan Falconer of Dieterich was traveling west on the highway when his car veered into the eastbound lane. A pickup truck driven by 28-year-old Zachary Raney of Newton was heading east and was struck by Falconer's car. A minivan driven by 24-year-old Mariah Boldrey of Ste. Marie was traveling behind Raney and was forced to take evasive action by driving into the ditch on the south side of the highway.

Falconer's car came to rest on the highway, but Raney and Boldrey's vehicles both ended up in the ditch.

All three drivers...Falconer, Raney and Boldrey...were injured and were transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Falconer was cited for improper lane usage, reckless driving, reckless conduct, aggravated battery, failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash, and no insurance.
