A first-ever Veterans Resource Fair was held in Effingham Sunday.

The event was sponsored by the Effingham Sunrise and Noon Rotary Clubs in partnership with the Road Home Program at Rush, a member of Warrior Care Network.

The Resource Fair was designed to support and honor all who have sacrificed in service to their country. More than 30 vendors were on hand. Effingham Mayor Jeff Bloemker gave a welcome, there was a live performance by Jamie Stang and Matt Poss featuring painting and music, remarks from Blake Schroedter about The Road Home Program, a speech from local surgeon and veteran Dr. Ruben Boyajian, and live music by Eagle's Wings, along with a noon luncheon.
