A Toledo man has died and another Toledo resident is charged in connection with the death.

40-year-old Zachery L. Yocum was pronounced dead just before 7am Tuesday at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County. Yocum was taken to the hospital after an incident at his home.

32-year-old Thomas Hills was arrested on a count of involuntary manslaughter. Cumberland County State's Attorney Bryan Robbins said Hills is accused of kicking Yocum in the face.

In court Wednesday, Judge Jonathan Braden set Hills' bond at $150,000, and set a preliminary hearing for Hills on November 5.

An autopsy was conducted on Yocum Wednesday. Coles County Coroner Ed Schniers said the preliminary findings of the autopsy didn't show anything that would indicate the kick caused immediate death. Schniers said additional test results should be back in the next two to four weeks to aid in his investigation.

Barkley Funeral Chapel will handle funeral arrangements.
