The hit-making band Plain White T's will make an appearance in Effingham Friday night, playing an 8pm show at the Effingham Performance Center.

Plain White T’s kicked off their vibrant career in the Chicago suburbs in 1997, playing a unique blend of pop, punk, and melody-driven rock and roll in basements and clubs across the metro area. Two decades later, the quintet has become a global success, with thousands of shows, a string of multi-platinum hit singles (“Rhythm of Love”, “1, 2, 3, 4”) and one of the most downloaded songs of all time under their belts: GRAMMY(R)-nominated “Hey There Delilah.”

After a whirlwind tour cycle supporting 2015’s American Nights, the band hunkered down and began writing the ideas that would eventually comprise Parallel Universe (released September 2018). The band’s endlessly hummable signature melodies still shine at the center of this galaxy, but their Universe morphed into an otherworldly atmosphere of ethereal electronic pop strengthened by lush guitar tones and synth transmissions.
