The Cross Foundation recently held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, and presented its Volunteer of the Year award to Patty Winn of Effingham.

Cross Foundation President Christy Hakman said, "Patty graciously helps to prepare the Welcome Center for Christmas – setting up the Nativity display and helping to manage the annual Christmas Open House just to name a few. She is always willing to lend a hand and assists behind the scenes of the Cross Foundation."

A new "Superman Award" was presented to volunteer Randy Hutmacher for taking care of the Cross grounds and spending many hours mowing and weed eating.

Hakman said, "Both volunteers are so generous with their time and talents and we appreciate all their efforts. We are so grateful to the hundreds of volunteers who help the Cross Foundation accomplish our mission to share the message of God’s love and forgiveness."

Volunteers are always needed at the Cross at the Crossroads. To give a few hours of your time once per month, please contact Kathy at 217.342.4100.
