County Manufacturing Day a Success

The 2018 Effingham County Manufacturing Day gave students from a number of area high schools the opportunity to see what careers are available in the county.

11 different manufacturers opened their doors October 4 to touring students. The students then gathered at the Effingham Event Center for lunch and for a presentation from Lake Land College representatives on how the college can equip students for career pursuits.

The annual event was sponsored by Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, the City of Effingham, the County of Effingham, Effingham Regional Growth Alliance, and Lake Land College, along with the participating manufacturers.
