Semi and Car Collide Near Vandalia Thursday

A semi rear-ended a car on I-70 westbound near Vandalia Thursday.

The crash happened at 3:32pm. State police report the car, driven by 34-year-old Licurlie Dotson of Belleville, was traveling at a slow rate of speed. The semi driver, 60-year-old Ronald McLean of Ontario, Canada, rear-ended Dotson's car.

Dotson was transported to Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia for treatment of what were termed minor injuries.

Dotson was cited for driving while his license is suspended.
