Vandalia resident Ryan Koontz has been sentenced to prison on child pornography charges.

The 38-year-old Koontz was found guilty during a bench trial in February of two counts of dissemination of child pornography and seven counts of possession of child pornography.

During a hearing Tuesday in Fayette County Circuit Court, Judge Marc Kelly sentenced Koontz to 15 years in prison on the dissemination of child porn charges, and those sentences will run consecutively, the term for Count 2 following the term for Count 1.

Judge Kelly sentenced Koontz to four years probation on each of the seven counts of child porn possession, and those sentences will run concurrent with the dissemination charges.

The charges carried a total sentencing range of 36 to 116 years.
