A 27-year-old Farina man faces multiple charges following a high-speed chase from Alma to downtown Salem.

Alma Police first noticed Levi Krantz traveling on Route 37 in Alma at 70 to 80 miles per hour. Police were unsuccessful in stopping him as he headed southbound at speeds estimated at more than 100 miles per hour.

However, when Krantz got to Salem he pulled into and parked in a parking lot.

He was ticketed for fleeing and eluding police, speeding more than 40 miles an hour over the limit and endangering the life of a child. Reports indicate there were two- and three-year-old children in the back seat of the car that were not properly secured.
