Car Hits Marion Eye Center Building

A vehicle driven by Cole D. Borton, 21, of Effingham, left the roadway in the 600th block of Keller, striking a fence, meter, sign and the Marion Eye Center building at 2:23 a.m. Thursday.

According to the Effingham Police Department, Borton sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Borton was ticket for Driving Under the Influence, Improper Lane Usage and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
