IDOT Announces Lane Restrictions on I-57 in Marion County Beginning Monday

The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that Interstate 57 from the Jefferson County line to the Fayette County line will have various lane restrictions in each direction beginning Monday, Aug. 20, weather permitting.

The restriction is necessary to complete pavement repairs and is anticipated to be completed in early October. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.

IDOT advises the traveling public to follow all construction signs and drive with caution through the work zones. Delays should be expected and the use of alternate routes may be beneficial.
