Derek Storck Joins Clay County Hospital

Clay County Hospital has announced that Derek Storck, NP is an addition to the hospital's group of providers.

Storck grew up in Farina, helping on the family farm. He originally attended Southern Illinois University – Carbondale for civil engineering and worked for a couple of years in St. Louis for an engineering firm before switching to a career in sales. After spending nearly eight years traveling the midwest, he decided to switch to a career in healthcare. 

Storck graduated from SLU (Saint Louis University) and took a job in an ER in Lincoln, IL before moving to his wife Melissa's hometown of Sterling Heights, MI. Spending almost two years in Michigan, Storck seized the opportunity to move back to southern Illinois where much of his family still resides.

Derek and Melissa have a 2 year old son Drew. Says Derek: “I always had the intention of practicing in a rural setting similar to the one I grew up in and am excited to be a part of the Clay County Clinic.” Storck sees patients by appointment at the Flora clinic and also works at the walk-in clinic at the Flora clinic location.
