The Village of Teutopolis is moving ahead with various infrastructure projects.

The Village Board Wednesday approved a plat of Elm Street Subdivision. The project creates two more residential lots in addition to a lot where a house is already located.

The Board awarded the Runde Sewer extension project. Kieffer Brothers Construction of Mt. Carmel will do the work for $76,922. The work will involve running the sewer along the creek in the south part of the village from Plum Street to Race Street to allow the Rundes to tie into the extension.

A pay estimate of $68,903.56 was approved to A.J. Walker Construction of Mattoon for work completed in Prairie View Subdivision, the residential subdivision being developed in the southeast part of the village.

The Board also paid Daschill Construction $107,000 for water and sewer work done as part of Farmweld's expansion project in the east end of the village, along with another $16,000 in inspection fees for engineering work.

Board members also approved the purchase of a replacement squad car for the village police force through the State purchasing plan, but took no action on the prevailing wage ordinance for the new year, since they haven't yet received the prevailing wages.
