(MAGIC MIKE DURING HIS 2PM PERFORMANCE)

There was a little magic displayed at the Effingham County Fair, even in the midst of the Sunday downpours.

Magic Mike was scheduled to make his initial appearance at this year's fair with three performances scheduled over the course of Sunday afternoon. When the rain continued to come down, there was some thought that the performances would be canceled.

Magic Mike, though, said he could adjust. Rather than perform on the free stage along the midway, the veteran magician took his show into the grandstand. About 100 people gathered for the performance, and Magic Mike put on quite a show, making balloon animals and utilizing the children and young people in the audience to "help" him with several of his tricks.

While surprisingly chilly in the grandstand due to the unusual weather the past few days, many smiles were seen among those in the audience, indicating a little "magic" had indeed visited the fairgrounds.
