We had shared earlier about how well the Dieterich team fared at the National Trap Shoot Competition, held this past weekend in Mason, Michigan.

Two Altamont students also competed at the Nationals.

Freshman Chris Holland and junior Grant Schmidt qualified for the National competition. Holland shot an 85 and did not advance to the Top 400 that advanced.

Schmidt did though, and qualified for the final round by shooting a 94 with a reversal of 32 in his first round (94 with a reversal of 7 was needed to qualify).

On the day of the finals, Schmidt shot a 97. He finished 184th out of 1,273 shooters.
