(THE SCENE AT KLITZING PARK IN ALTAMONT IN THE AFTERMATH OF SATURDAY'S STORMS)

Things are getting back to normal in Altamont after strong storms rolled through Saturday afternoon.

Altamont City Clerk Sarah Stephen said electrical crews had service available throughout the city by about 6:30 Sunday morning. Stephen said any problems now are related to individual situations at properties.

The area along Main Street from downtown north and the CSX Railroad east and west appeared to have suffered the most damage, but no injuries were reported. Stephen said crews from the Illinois Department of Corrections are in town aiding with cleanup of the downed tree branches throughout the affected area.
