Neal Funeral Home Changing Hands

On its 70th anniversary, J.W. Neal Funeral Home is changing hands.

Chris and Sandra Triplett are acquiring both the Louisville and Kinmundy funeral home locations, as of July 11. Chris Triplett is an Illinois native who now lives with his wife in Canada, but is looking forward to returning to his home state.

The Neal family have owned and operated the Louisville funeral home since 1948. J. Elmer Neal was the first of four generations of licensed funeral home operators to run the business. He was followed by John Neal, then Jack Neal and then Mark Neal, who is no longer with the business. Others of the Neal family have continued the operation including current owner Susan (Neal) Beppler. 

Jack Neal acquired the former Linton Funeral Home in Kinmundy in the early 1980s. 

Current office manager Amy Allen will remain with the business after the Tripletts become the owners.
