Jasper County Fair Getting Underway

The first area county fair of the summer is getting underway.

The Jasper County Fair will kick into full swing this weekend in Newton.

Friday and Saturday, area residents can purchase front gate tickets at a reduced price. Advanced tickets will only be available for purchase until Saturday; after that, all front gate admission will be $5 per person.

Advanced front gate tickets can be purchased at the floral hall Friday from 4-7pm and Saturday from 8am to 4pm. Box seat holders can also pick up their tickets during the same time. Advanced admission tickets can be purchased at six for $20.

The 4-H General Show is set for 4pm Friday, the FFA shows and Floral Hall judging from 8 to 11am are planned Saturday, and 4-H Poultry Judging at 2pm and Rabbit judging at 5pm are planned on Sunday.
