ARC-CSS Honors Award Winners

Each year ARC Community Support Systems recognizes employees and community members who make a difference in the lives of those they serve. On Friday, December 14th they presented awards to nine recipients.

The Effingham Equity was presented with the “Business of the Year” award for providing a very successful work site through the supported employment janitorial contract program. “Joe Sipper’s Café” was awarded the Good Neighbor award for promoting the Art Program and providing a meeting space for the monthly Craft/Social Night. Blanks Insurance was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award for their work on the Annual Golf Tournament. Laurel Adams, Director of the Palestine Public Library District was awarded the “Advocate of the Year” award for finding funding to create a paid  position for their volunteer, Jessica.

ARC-CSS recognized the following staff members: Brad Bailey, Consumer of the Year; Dawn Lee, Employee of the Year; Doug Bushue, Team Player of the Year and Mindy Healy was awarded the Annual Leadership Award.
