Mattoon resident Dylan Booker has been sentenced to three years in prison.

The 24-year-old Booker was sentenced in Effingham County Circuit Court for possession of methamphetamine. Booker received the sentence from Judge Allan Lolie, who denied a defense motion to postpone the sentencing.

Court records indicate "multiple failures" by Booker to report to the County Probation Department for an interview as part of a pre-sentence investigation.

Booker was charged in January 2017.
