Neoga Days 2018 Underway Tonight

Neoga Days for 2018 is underway tonight. This year's theme is "Around the World" and many of the events have an international theme.

The annual event will continue through Saturday.

Tonight's activities will include food booths, a carnival, a farm machinery show, and the Methodist Men's Group lasagna supper. At 5:30pm, entries will begin to be received for the Tacky Tourist Competition. The opening ceremony will begin at 6:30pm, and the Neoga Days Pageant will start at 7pm.

Friday events will begin with the start of registration for the tractor drive at 4pm at Kern Manufacturing. The food booths and the carnival will open at 5pm, along with the Knights of Columbus chicken dinner. A food eating contest will start at 5:30pm. At 6pm, a trivia competition will begin, along with the tractor drive. Bagpipers will perform at 7pm and a beer garden will open. A Mariachi band will perform from 8 to 10pm and the band "Breakaway" will perform in the beer garden at 8pm.

Saturday features a full day of activities. Registration for a one mile fun run and walk and 5K will begin at 7am with the fun run and walk to start at 8am and the 5K at 8:15am. Lineup for the parade will begin at 3pm with the parade to step off at 7pm. The carnival and food booths will open at 5pm along with the Knights of Columbus barbecue dinner. The Amazing Race will begin at 5:30pm at the main stage, and the Lion Dance Troupe will perform at 6pm and the beer garden will open. "Steely Pan" will present a steel drum performance at 6:30pm and the Lion Dance Troupe will return at 7:45pm. The "Feudin Hillbillys" will perform in the beer garden at 8pm and "Breakaway" will be back at 8:15pm on the main stage.
