Teutopolis Village Board members have voted to approve a road project to aid Farmweld in its expansion project.

The Board awarded a bid for Frank Feutz Construction of Paris for $327,859. The roadway will extend off US Route 40 about 800 feet into the Farmweld facility on the east end of the village. The intersection with the highway will be built to accommodate truck traffic in and out of the business. The roadway will be built on what was once a township road.

Board members also voted to pay A.J. Walker Construction $102,894 for work completed on the Prairie View Subdivision project. The residential subdivision is being built in the southeast part of the village. The village is paying for the infrastructure system to serve the subdivision.

The Board was to vote on an ordinance that would impose fees on small wireless facilities, but the matter was tabled until additional information is received from Village Attorney Bill Austin.
