Semi Accident Leaves Driver Injured

A semi was involved in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on northbound I-57 between Sigel and Neoga in Shelby County.

At 1:00am a semi pulling a silver tank trailer was northbound when the driver, 40 year-old Jason W. Cantrall, stated that took his eyes off the roadway and when he looked up he was leaving the roadway. The tractor-trailer entered the east ditch, overturned on its passenger side and came to rest.  

Cantrall was transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham where he was treated for minor injuries.

Cantrall, whose address was not made available, was charged with improper lane usage and failure to wear a seatbelt.
