Louisiana Man Injured in Crash East of Montrose

A Louisiana man was injured in a crash east of Montrose Friday evening.

State police report 68-year-old Bruce Megaha of Oak Grove, Louisiana was traveling in a truck pulling a fifth wheel camper on I-70 eastbound, halfway between Montrose and Greenup just after 5:30pm. Preliminary investigation shows that both Megaha and two witnesses stated that there was a mechanical issue either with the truck or the trailer at the time of the crash. Megaha stated that he lost could not steer the vehicle, which veered right and left the roadway, traveling down an embankment, coming to rest in some trees.

Megaha was taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment of what were termed non-life threatening injuries.

State police say their investigation into the crash is continuing.
