Neoga will be among the beneficiaries sharing $35 million for transportation enhancement projects.

The City of Neoga will receive $26,400 for a shared-use path project. The path is to be used by both pedestrians and bicyclists.

For the 2018 cycle, 53 projects were selected. 218 applications were received, requesting $252 million. State officials say projects were ultimately chosen based on funding availability.

Elsewhere in the region, Marshall will receive $755,340 for Phase 3 of a Streetscape project in their business district as a historic preservation effort.

Shelbyville will receive $42,480 for Phase 10 work on their bike path project.
