Steve Bone won the lottery held this morning to decide the top spot on the ballot in the race for Effingham Unit 40 School Board.

Bone had filed with James Keith of Douglas Township and Galen Altman of Summit Township when the filing period began earlier this month so those three participated in the lottery.

Bone drew the top spot so Keith will follow him on the ballot.  According to statute, all of the other Douglas Township candidates are then listed in the order in which they filed so Keith will be followed by K.L. Cleeton and Laurie King.  Altman will appear on the ballot next followed by the other two Summit Township candidates James Osborn and Brian Wick.

Election Day is April 9.
