About 20 fifth grade students on a Flora school bus were taken to the Taylorville hospital for treatment following a Thursday afternoon wreck.

Taylorville Police say the driver of a minivan apparently ran a red light at the Park and Cherokee Street Intersection and collided with the bus.

The fifth graders were returning home following a field trip to Springfield, Illinois.

Flora school officials say transportation back to Flora was provided for the students. None of the injuries were believed to be serious.
