The Kaskaskia College Board has signed an articulation agreement with Eastern Illinois University to assure a smooth transition for KC students transferring to five Bachelor of Arts programs.

The programs involve History, Psychology, Sociology and Communication Studies.

The articulation agreements are the latest the college has signed with four-year institutions. College Interim President George Evans says the agreements are important to students to guarantee admission and avoid any missteps in the transfer process.

"There's a significant advantage. There is a seamless entry for a student. Number one, if you are a student residing in the KC district it is an absolute no-brainer to come here first," said Evans. "Not only is it affordable but its high-quality education and you will end up going into Eastern as a junior and there is significant savings on the tuition side as well as high quality."

Eastern Illinois University President David Glassman says Eastern loves and values its partnership with Kaskaskia College and love KC students on their campus. Glassman reports KC students excel when they get on campus and are right up there with every other student and beyond many.
