Noon Rotary Recognizes Scholar/Athletes

Effingham Noon Rotarians celebrated their 2018 Scholar/Athlete Luncheon on April 25.

The luncheon is held each year to recognize seniors at Effingham High School and St. Anthony High School who achieve at least a 3.5 GPA and receive a varsity letter their senior year.

Charlie Brumleve served as MC for the luncheon. SAHS Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Kevin Palmer and Effingham Unit 40 Activities Director David Woltman announced the honorees, and SAHS Principal Greg Fearday and EHS Principal Kurt Roberts presented the awards. Effingham Unit 40 Superintendent Mark Doan was also recognized for his help with planning the event.
 
Noon Club President Kaye Dent shared with the honorees some of what Rotary is all about, and led members and honorees in Rotary's 4-Way Test.
