Six-Year-Old Injured When Striking Vehicle

A child was injured when striking the side of a moving vehicle.

The incident happened at 8am Tuesday at 2309 Hoffman Drive. City police report the six-year-old struck the side of a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Cory Loew of Effingham.

The six-year-old was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. There were no citations issued in the incident.

Police declined to release other information about the child.
