Dieterich Board Finalizes Superintendent Contract

Dieterich school board members this week finalized a new contract with Superintendent Cary Jackson.

The agreement is for three years, through the 2020-2021 school year. The Board also hired Molly Niemerg and Whitley Schwengel as after school program aides.

The Board accepted the resignation of Donetta Ohnesorge as head high school girls basketball coach, Mary Lucy as assistant high school girls basketball coach, Whitney Lidy as library aide, and Ashley Rentfro as junior high volleyball coach. The Board also reassigned guidance counselor Ashley Kreke from three-quarter time to full time for next school year.

Dieterich board members approved the renewal of catastrophic insurance with AIG, approved renewing membership in the IHSA, agreed to add junior high softball as a school-sponsored IESA sport, approved an easement for the Village of Dieterich to run utilities across school district property for the addition planned to Hartke Subdivision that will provide additional residential lots for the village, accepted a bid from Alpha Controls for repair of boiler pumps, and scheduled a special meeting for June 4 for the purpose of District goal setting and planning.
