Two North Clay school students Tuesday were expelled for two calendar years, but the expulsions were held in abeyance if the students comply with alternative education guidelines.

North Clay schools were closed on March 1 after a scare the previous evening about a possible threat to the schools. Three juveniles were taken into custody.

Hearings were held on two of those students at a special board meeting on Tuesday night. A hearing for the third student will take place at a later date.

If the two students don't comply with the alternative education requirements, they will be expelled until March 13, 2020.
