A negotiated plea has been reached in a case originally charged as traveling to meet a child.

33-year-old Abraham Mireles pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of criminal trespass to a residence. The traveling to meet a child charge has been dismissed.

Mireles and the girl, who was 15 at the time, had met on an online dating site. The girl lived with her grandparents. The grandfather was awakened by an alarm system and discovered his granddaughter was attempting to leave, allegedly to meet Mireles.

Mireles had no criminal history.

In exchange for the guilty plea, Mireles was placed on two years' conditional discharge, which means that if he successful completes the term without any further violations, his record will be clean.

Mireles was ordered to make a $1,000 contribution to CASA, and must pay $2,500 in fines and costs.
