Vogt Receives Rotary Vocational Excellence Award

Longtime CPA Ken Vogt has been named the 2018 recipient of the Rotary Vocational Excellence Award.

The honor is presented each year by the Effingham Noon Rotary Club. Both Rotarians and non-Rotarians have been honored with the award.

Vogt, who is a member of Noon Rotary, is a graduate of Teutopolis High School and Eastern Illinois University. He started as a staff accountant with West and Company LLC, then Brumleve and Dabbs, in 1981, and became a partner in 1987. He retired from the partnership in 2009, but continues to work with West and Company.

Community service has included serving as president of Noon Rotary, the St. Anthony Church Parish Finance Council, on the TREC Board and as Treasurer, Effingham Knights of Columbus Building Corporation Board, Chairman and Board member of Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, Board member and Past President of Effingham Catholic Charities, Friends of St. Anthony Hospital Board, United Way Board, and the St. Anthony Board of Education.

Ken and his wife Marilyn have four children, Sarah, Kevin, Andy and Teresa and seven grandchildren.
