A child was injured in a crash at Fayette and Oak on Monday afternoon. Details were released Friday by city police.

The crash happened just after 4pm when a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Adam Goldstein of Altamont rear-ended a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Tarah Tarin of Effingtham. That caused Tarin's vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Weidner Prather of Effingham.

A passenger in Tarin's vehicle, six-year-old Reagan Tarin of Effingham, was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Goldstein was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
