Three juveniles have been detained in connection with the Wednesday evening scare at North Clay schools in Louisville.

Just after 3:30pm Wednesday, the Clay County Sheriff's Department's School Resource Officer received a report from North Clay school officials that they had received information about a possible threat to the school. A statement from the sheriff's office read, "The school responded quickly to this information and detained two juveniles. The juveniles were turned over to the Sheriff's Office to complete their investigation. A third juvenile was detained a short time later. No weapons were located at the school or on any of the juveniles."

An earlier statement from North Clay Superintendent Monty Aldrich indicated that "students were planning to carry out a violent act in our schools (Thursday) with several specific actions."

As a result of the ongoing investigation, three male juveniles have been detained at a local juvenile detention center where they are awaiting their first appearance in court.

The Sheriff's Office commended North Clay schools for their "quick response to this matter, which ensured all persons of interest were detained quickly and without incident."
