Justin Kollman Gets Prison Time for Drugs

An 18-year-old county resident has been sentenced to five years in prison on a drug charge.

Justin Kollman received the sentence Thursday in Effingham County Circuit Court.

Effingham County State's Attorney Bryan Kibler said Kollman admitted to delivering a substance containing 2.6 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover agent of the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force. The offense occurred last September 28.

Once Kollman completes his sentence he will be placed on two years mandatory supervised release. He must also pay a $1,000 mandatory assessment.

Kollman was given credit for 68 days in jail served while awaiting disposition of his case.

Separate charges stemming from a pursuit by Stewardson police late last year were dismissed as part of a negotiated plea.
