Results from the recently completed Effingham Recycles Community Survey will be publicly presented the evening of Thursday, February 22.

The presentation will begin at 6pm in the Workman Room of the Effingham Public Library.

More than 600 responses, and 130 additional comments, were collected in November and December 2017 on the current state of and future hopes for recycling services in Effingham County. Along with survey results, action items that address the community’s concerns and further the goals of increasing use of and access to recycling services will be presented.

“I hate that it's 2017 and I still have to work so hard in our county to recycle,” one survey respondent vented, reflecting the survey’s trend of desire for improved, convenient recycling services in the community.

The goal is to move the conversation about recycling forward into action. Results will be made publicly available. The public is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served.
