Effingham County ‘s forward-thinking Vision 2020 group has had a significant influence on Effingham County for almost fifteen years. As the year 2020 approaches, a community group has convened to continue the original work of Vision 2020, but to look now toward 2030, going by the name Impact 2030.

Creative Learning Culture is one of the impact area teams under Impact 2030. The team hosted its second lunch and learn this month at the Effingham Public Library to bring together all those in Effingham County who provide lifelong learning experiences to others, who cultivate creativity, inspire innovation and are passionate about personal growth, to share their organization’s mission.

Names of presenting organizations:

  • Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library: Johnna Schultz

  • Poss Music Works: Bill Passalacqua

  • Effingham Unit 40 Mentoring Program: Kathy Nava-Sifuentes

  • Effingham Art Guild: Stacey Zerrusen

  • Lake Land College: Chris Strohl

  • Arts Connection of Central Illinois and Effingham Performance Center: Rich Jorn

Team members say they have organizations wanting to present at the next lunch and learn and look forward to expanding their reach.
